Sunpride Solar Technology Limited, is a registered renewable energy service provider specializing in Solar PV development in Kenya and other parts of Africa. We are an Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) having diverse experience and expertise in solar PV development, generation and power purchase agreements (PPA).

Our company has a wide pool of local and international financiers to inject resources necessary to implement solar PV projects as an equity partner or a lender in Solar Pv projects with firms who have secured Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) or are generating power for self-consumption.

How efficient are modern solar panels?

In 2026, standard monocrystalline panels have an efficiency of 20–25%. However, new Perovskite Tandem cells are now reaching the market, pushing theoretical limits toward 30%, allowing you to generate more power from a smaller roof space

Do solar panels work on cloudy days or at night?

Solar panels still produce energy on cloudy days (at about 10–25% of their capacity) by capturing diffused light. At night, they do not produce power; this is where Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or "Net Metering" come in to provide electricity.

Does solar increase property value?

Yes. Studies show that homes with solar installations sell for 4–6% more than similar homes without them.

How long do solar panels actually last?

Most panels come with a 25-year performance warranty, but they can last 30–40 years. They don’t "break" at year 25; they just slowly degrade, typically still producing 80–90% of their original power after two decades.
